Lily分享自己12至13歲隨家人移民加拿大的經歷，在當地完成中學與大學教育，曾於加拿大中文電台及新時代電視台工作。原本立志成為歌手，但因身體未能適應香港環境，轉而嘗試模特兒、音樂教學等不同工作，最終加入TVB發展。她亦澄清外界誤以為她透過港姐入行的說法，實為節目主持工作與港姐話題相關所致。

談到家庭，Lily坦言父母最初對她修讀音樂有所顧慮，父親從事銀行業多年，期望她走穩定路線；母親亦較保守。但隨着時間推移，父母最終選擇信任與支持。她回憶當年以小計謀讓母親誤簽音樂系，雖曾引發家庭震盪，卻也讓家人學會放手。她與弟弟各走不同創意與專業道路，反映家庭教育中信任的重要。

音樂之路方面，Lily從小學琴，起初只是現實選擇，直至一次媽媽突然中止琴課，反而激發她的自主與熱愛，逐漸走向專業演奏與和音工作。她透過自學與教會演出累積經驗，最終在音樂領域站穩腳步。

感情與家庭是她人生的重要篇章。Lily坦言自己「戀愛腦」，年輕時迅速戀愛、結婚並成為母親，婚後重心轉向家庭。18年婚姻最終結束，她卻不視為失敗，而是感恩彼此與兩名兒子的成長。離婚過程理性成熟，雙方以子女感受為先，維持友好關係，也讓她學會放下對錯、珍惜當下。

近年Lily轉型投身保險行業，從客戶身份開始，疫情後重新審視人生方向，逐漸建立使命感。透過真實個案，她深刻體會保障對家庭的重要，並以專業與誠意服務客戶，建立團隊，突破外界對藝人轉行的偏見。她將批評與逆境視為成長養分，以行動證明自身價值。
